Recently, the Institute of Engineering at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) collaborated with Nord Lock Group to organize the seminar "Nord Lock Group: Solutions for Critical Bolting Challenges." This seminar aimed to help engineering students acquire new knowledge, stay updated with technological advancements, and effectively apply this knowledge to their research and work.
The seminar was attended by Mr. Hoang Minh Duc, Representative of Nord Lock Group; Mr. Bernard, Product Engineer of Nord Lock Group in Southeast Asia; and Mr. Le Nho Dung, Business Engineer of Nord Lock Group in Vietnam. Representing the HUTECH Institute of Engineering were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, Vice Director; Mr. Le Hong Hieu, Vice Director; and other lecturers from the Institute.
Guests and speakers at the seminar
At the seminar, speakers shared valuable knowledge with students on creating and calculating parameters, as well as potential scenarios when constructing with bolts. Additionally, students learned about the structure of bolts, how to distribute and assemble bolts on constructed projects to ensure feasibility, methods to calculate the tightness or looseness of bolts and torques, and the impacts on bolts and torques during the operation of constructed projects.
The speaker shares valuable insights on constructing with bolts
In addition, the speaker introduced items that enhance the tightness of bolts and screws, including products from Nord Lock such as bolts, torques, and serrated washers. These products were presented with technical specifications, helping students understand the characteristics and functions of each type, and how to combine them for optimal operational efficiency.
