Multimedia Communication students participated in a sequence of workshops on Directorial Skills

In March 2023, the HUTECH’s Faculty of Communication and Design organized a sequence of workshops on directorial skills.
The sequence at Saigon Campus attracted a large number of students
The sequence consists of 5 sessions with Director Hoang Si Dang - Lecturer of Multimedia Communications, and other experienced lecturers including Director Yu Tran, Director Hoang Tran Minh Duc, Director Dinh Duc Thien, Director Vu Minh Nghia.
Speakers at each session included Producer Sophie Nguyen, Screenwriter ToTo Chan, Screenwriter Tran Khanh Hoang, Sound Engineer Nguyen Ngoc Thai Son (aka sonmustang), Director Nguyen Trung Nghia and Director - Producer Le Quynh Anh.

In the session "Director and screenwriter work", screenwriter ToTo Chan has answered questions about script creation, essentials factors of a screenwriter, etc.
After that, screenwriter Tran Khanh Hoang discussed the actual scripting experience, the abilities needed to collaborate with the director to complete the script, and problem solutions during the working process in the session "Working process between producer and screenwriter".

With 12-year experience in the field of sound, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thai Son (aka sonmustang) presented the importance of sound in cinema through the workshop "Directors work with sound - The importance of sound and music in cinema".

The students interacted with the speakers
Director Nguyen Trung Nghia and Director - Producer Le Quynh Anh also shared various useful knowledge to help students have an overview of a independent short film production process.
Additionally, the students also posed questions about two short films shown at the workshop, which are "Fragile" and "Good night, sweetheart".

At the end of the sequence, the students have been provided with multiple fundamental knowledge to prepare for the graduation film projects.
