With the goal of "building authentic voices for global students", the conference was aimed to raise awareness and apply authentic materials in teaching English including newspapers, movies, and English TV shows,… in which English is used "real", naturally, rather than sentences written according to a certain "sentence pattern" for illustrative purposes when teaching. Studying this type of language will help students access real English, thereby having the ability to use natural English, especially their speaking ability. This is also the direction that National Geographic Learning aims to develop its general and in-depth curricula.

On the behalf of HUTECH, Dr. Tran Quoc presented the topic "Empowering English Language Learners via Authentic Materials". In company with pointing out the benefits, the performance of Dr. Tran Quoc Thao also indicated the difficulties that are often encountered when using this type of material, such as requiring a certain cultural understanding with both teachers and learners, often including cultural stereotypes, many complex vocabularies, and sentence patterns, easy to lose their topicality, etc. In addition, with his research and teaching experience, HUTECH representatives also share several suitable criteria for the effective selection and use of real language materials.Dr. Tran Quoc Thao presented the topic "Empowering English Language Learners via
