English Major Students "Learn and Play" Through the Extracurricular Activity "Fun with English"

In the morning of September 8th, the Faculty of English Language at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) organized the extracurricular activity "Fun with English", which attracted the enthusiastic participation of a large number of English major students in particular and HUTECH students in general.

The extracurricular activity took place at Saigon Campus and attracted a large number of participating students.

The program was attended by Dr. Tran Quoc Thao - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of English Language, Mr. Vo Quoc Dai - Deputy Dean, Mrs. Do Thi Song Tuyen - Head of the English Skills Department, Mr. Duong Ba Thanh Di - Head of the Translation and Interpretation Department, along with other lecturers from the Faculty of English Language.

Under the guidance of Mr. Vo Quoc Dai, the students participated in many interesting warm-up games.

The Organizing Board prepared 9 stations with 9 challenges based on English knowledge and skills such as listening, speaking, reading, pronunciation, and reflexes, which were deployed in various game formats such as filling in blank spaces, matching words, and drawing random questions. Accordingly, students who completed at least 3 challenges would receive a nice gift from the program.

Among them, the "Mine is longer" challenge of matching English vocabulary from randomly drawn letters attracted the students to compete in groups of 3 to see who could form the most words and win.

The extracurricular activity "Fun with English" provided a useful and entertaining playground, helping students not only have a relaxing time after stressful study hours, but also gently review their English knowledge and skills, creating an enthusiastic start to the new academic year.

The extracurricular activity helped the students enhance the necessary knowledge and skills, preparing them for the 2023-2024 academic year.
