In the morning of March 14, the English Language Faculty at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) organized the orientation to advise the students, class of 2020, on how to choose a suitable specialized major.
At the orientation, Dr. Le Van Tuyen - the Vice-Dean of the English Language Faculty - provided a general introduction about the specialized majors available at the Faculty. Accordingly, the students, class of 2020, would have three choices, including English Teaching Methodology, Business English, as well as Translation and Interpretation.
Dr. Le Van Tuyen presented about noteworthy details and the necessary conditions for choosing a specialized major.
To help the students understand more about the specialized majors, Dr. Le Van Tuyen minutely presented about the required credits that had to be accumulated, the job opportunities for each specialized major, and the method of application. Additionally, he also advised the students to make a decision while considering other factors such as their own abilities and hobbies, along with the job market so that they could make a suitable choice for themselves.In the orientation, the students also posed questions regarding the issue of choosing a specialized major and of future career orientation, all of which were answered by the lecturers.

The orientation helped the students of the English Language Faculty, class of 2020, understand more about the specialized majors available at the Faculty, and the questions revolving around the issue of choosing a specialized major were answered so that they could make a suitable choice for themselves.
