Grasping skills and regulations regarding citing sources, students of the HUTECH English Department confidently pursue their passion for research and scientific studies.

On December 15th, the English Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) organized a seminar titled "Citation of Reference Materials in Students' Scientific Research" aimed at helping students access and accumulate knowledge and skills in citing references in scientific research.

Accompanying the students at the program were Master Vo Quoc Dai - Deputy Head of the English Department and Master Vu Xuan Quang - Faculty Member of the Department, who served as the main speaker for the seminar.

At the event, the students listened to Master Vu Xuan Quang's sharing about the importance of APA standards in the citation process, the system of rules, and principles of referencing sources. The speaker emphasized that when conducting scientific research, students need to adhere to regulations regarding writing style, page numbering, presentation of graphs, tables, and citation of documents to ensure accuracy, transparency, and clarity.

The speaker also provided many tips on how to create and utilize online tools for generating references lists for scientific research. This guidance aimed to help students understand the process better and learn efficient methods for organizing reference lists intelligently and effectively.

The students absorbed and accumulated a wealth of useful knowledge and skills, thereby gaining additional motivation to carry out their scientific research projects.
