455 Papers for the 2021 Conference for the Students’ Scientific Research at HUTECH

 In the morning of 03/07, the Conference for Students’ Scientific Research at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) was held online. The conference collected 455 scientific papers from more than 1,300 students from various Faculties and Institutes throughout the University. 

The conference’s opening ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Kieu Tuan–the Party Committee Secretary, Assoc. Prof. Hoang Anh Tuan–the Vice-Principal, Dr. Bui Van The Vinh–the Vice-Principal, the leaders and lecturers from the Faculties and Institutes, and more than 200 students.

Dr. Kieu Tuan delivered the opening speech at the conference, praising the enthusiasm for research in the students at HUTECH, especially during the difficult times caused by by the pandemic, which significant affected the learning and researching schedules, but they persevered to finish their studies. Such achievements were, first and foremost, evidenced by the 455 research papers from more than 1,300 students from most of the Faculties and Institutes throughout the University. Dr. Kieu Tuan also hoped that, through their research, the students at HUTECH could gain more knowledge, and develop a mindset for research and apply what they had learned into practice.

The authors/groups of student authors presenting on multiple disciplines from 15 Faculties/Institutes
 

At the end of the conference, the authors and group of student authors presented their studies at the conference in small groups. The 15 presenting groups corresponded with the disciplines of 15 Faculties/Institutes, including the Faculty of Information Technology, the HUTECH Institute of Technology, the HUTECH Institute of Applied Sciences, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Architecture and Arts, the Institute of Vietnamese - Japanese Technology, the Institute of Vietnamese - Korean Technology, the Faculty of Finance and Commerce, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, the Faculty of Business Management, the Institute of Social Science and Humanities, the Faculty of English Language, and the Faculty of Japanese Studies. Each group had valuable research topics that came from the practical needs of society and offered helpful solutions stemming from the yearning for the betterment of the community. 
 

Many valuable and practical research topics were presented at the conference.

In addition to the duty to learn, scientific research is another way for students to gain more knowledge and develop their ability to study and research independently, and to adapt to an ever-changing world. The success at the 2021 Conference for the Students’ Scientific Research is not only the testament to the ability and work ethics of the students at HUTECH, but it also serves as the motivation for their individual journey of personal growth in the future.
