Review Research Movement for 2019 - 2020 and Get Ready for the new academic year

On the morning of September 29th, the Faculty of English Language of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) organized the seminar "Review of Scientific Research in the academic year 2019-2020 and Launching the New Movement for 2020-2021". The seminar was organized to recognize the achievements of students in the past school year and motivate them in the new school year.

Participating in the seminar were Mr. Tran Quoc Thao, Ph.D - Vice Dean, Ms. Pham Quynh Trang, M.A - Vice Dean, Ms. Tran Kim Hong - Head of the English Language Research Club (ELRC Club) and Ms. Tran Nhat San, M.A - Lecturer of the Faculty. In addition, excellent students with many high achievements in the movement of Scientific Research students in the last academic year 2019-2020 took part in the seminar.

In his opening speech, Mr. Tran Quoc Thao expressed: “The successes that the students have achieved in recent years are the most convincing proof of their efforts. The teachers and the school are very proud of that, and hope they will continue to maintain their performance in the 2020-2021 school year, as well as continue to prolong the series of achievements of the Faculty in particular and of HUTECH in general " .

Individuals and groups with excellent achievements in research activities in 2019 -2020 were awarded

In the event, the Faculty summarized scientific research activities of the students in the academic year 2019 - 2020 and commended individuals and groups with excellent achievements. The past year was also an exciting year for the Faculty when a series of academic competitions were held and helped the Faculty to conduct many quality scientific research topics, and won awards at Faculty and University levels such as: “Common reading Techniques for English language readers”,“Ways to improve English reading skills for English majored students ”, "Common slangs in daily conversation in the American TV series - Glee", etc.

The interaction between the teachers and students of the Faculty

The seminar also offered an opportunity for teachers and students to interact, when the teachers shared their tips to conduct a research, and suggested possible topics to help students overcome the difficulties in doing and searching topics for their research. This would be a strong foundation, helping the Scientific Research movement of the Faculty of English Language in HUTECH continue to develop in the 2020-2021 school year.
