On June 25-26, the Faculty of English of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) organized a volunteer tour with the route Ho Chi Minh City - Ben Tre - Can Tho.
The journey lasted 2 days and 1 night with the presence of Dr. Le Van Tuyen - Vice Dean of Faculty of English Language and lecturers.
Students and lecturers of the Faculty of English Language have donated with a total amount of money up to 20,000,000 VND, as well as sent 10,000,000 VND along with daily necessities and food such as diapers, milk, clothes, books, learning tools, and toys, ... to the children at Duc Quang shelter, Van Duc pagoda (Tan Hiep, Ben Tre) and the local people in Tan My commune, Ba Tri district, Ben Tre.
Along with meaningful volunteer activities, the lecturers also had the opportunity to travel and admire the beautiful scenery of rivers in Ben Tre and Ho Chi Minh City. Can Tho keeps good memories with colleagues, and experience traditional activities such as making coconut candy and boating sightseeing.
The trip brought back beautiful memories of the spirit of caring, loving the community, sharing positive values with children and relatives in Ben Tre. Through this, lecturers of the Faculty of English Language also have relaxing moments to get ready to return to the lecture hall, bringing interesting lessons to students.
