Year of establishment: The Faculty was established in 1995, whose name was initially the Faculty of Foreign Languages, which was later changed into the Faculty of English Language in accordance with Decision No. 31 QĐ/HĐQT on the changing of the Faculty’s name, issued on August 18, 2017 by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH).

The current roster of lecturers of the Faculty consists of doctors and masters graduating from prestigious universities, both domestically and abroad. In addition to the Vietnamese lecturers, the Faculty also employs foreign teachers from the US, Australia, the UK, Canada, etc. Beside the teaching staff, the Faculty regularly communicates and partners with English centers, joint venture companies, and research institutes to organize academic seminars, offer opportunities to establish contact with businesses, and create internship environments for the students.

1.2 Mission - Visions - Cultural Values

Mission: The Faculty of English Language at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) commits to being the pioneering department in English language training in order to provide society with human resources with in-depth knowledge and skills in the language, with professional skills at work, with excellent moral and political values, and with the ability to work independently as well as creatively to meet the ever rising demands of the nation during the process of development and integration.

Visions: To build the Faculty of English Language into a reputable and high-quality department in English language training, to grow the brand name of HUTECH nationwide, to develop toward the multidisciplinary applications of language, to produce graduates with sufficient ability for integration, and to offer breakthrough solutions for the sake of a better future.
