HUTECH Faculty of Korean Studies welcomed Myongji University (South Korea)

On March 15, 2024, Faculty of Korean Studies of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) had a meeting with representatives of Myongji University (South Korea) to establish increased cooperation and student exchange opportunities.
 

Representatives of Myongji University (South Korea) included Mr. Byong-Jin You - President and Mr. Jong-Bin Yoon and Mr. Deok-Jin Jahng - Representatives of the Departments/Boards of the university. For HUTECH, there were Assoc. Dr. Bui Xuan Lam - Vice Chairman, Dr. Bui Phan Anh Thu - Dean of the Faculty of Korean Studies, Ms. Khuong Thi Thanh - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Korean Studies, and Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong - Vice Director of the Institute of International Education.

Initially, HUTECH representatives briefly introduced their university and previous collaborations with Myongji University. Also, Mr. Byong-Jin You shared “HUTECH has developed impressively in education for many years, causing us to aspire to work with HUTECH more in the future”.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Lam expressed the desire to establish training programs in regard to engineering, environment, and most particularly in Vietnamese and Korean Studies. Correspondingly, Mr. Deok-Jin Jahng was interested in establishing the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies at Myongji University so that Korean students could gain a deeper insight into Vietnam.

The meeting ended with an agreement on training orientations, student exchange programs, and tuition fees, creating a myriad of international learning opportunities for students of both universities.
