HUTECH students explore career opportunities in FMCG industry in the digital age
On July 9, the Faculty of Finance and Commerce, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) in collaboration with DKSH Vietnam Co. organized the webinar covering the topic, "Career opportunities in FMCG for HUTECH students in the digital age,” attracting more than 400 participating students.
The webinar was joined by representatives of the University’s leadership and the Center for Corporate Relations, as well as the faculty heads and members of the Faculty of Finance and Commerce.

The webinar’s main guest speaker was Mr. Kim Le Huy - General Director of Consumer Products of DKSH Vietnam Co. and HUTECH MBA alumnus. Also present at the seminar were two other staff DKSH Vietnam Co., namely Ms. Do Kim Phuong - National Recruitment Director and Ms. Le Doan Bao Ngoc - Recruitment Specialist. The webinar has drawn the attendance of over 400 students from the Faculty of Finance and Commerce.

Mr. Kim Le Huy provided students with a lot of useful information on the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industry as well as career positions related to this field at DKSH Vietnam Co. In addition to career advice, the speaker also reminded students of the importance of building a personal brand. He emphasized, “Every person has 24 hours in a day, in every step you take, in everything you do, always try and harbor a positive energy.”

On top of the practical information shared by Mr. Kim Le Huy, the participating students had the chance to raise questions related to the FMCG industry and the recruitment requirements of DKSH Vietnam Co. With the help of Ms. Do Kim Phuong and Ms. Le. Doan Bao Ngoc, students were also informed of the available internship opportunities at DKSH Vietnam Co. through the various program (e.g., Management Trainee (Quản trị viên tập sự), 3C, Internship, etc.).

Sharing his perspectives on fostering an industry engagement model through the organization of webinars, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Tung said, “In light of the difficult circumstances created by the Covid-19 epidemic in the organization of on-campus activities, webinars present a timely solution to help students gain access to enterprises and capture important labor market information, thereby providing students with valuable inputs in the orientation of their learning process.”
Within the framework of the Webinar, the Faculty also launched the minigame Learning Consumer Goods, Receiving Consumer Gifts. At the end of the minigame, Mr. Pham Minh Nhat - representative of DKSH Vietnam Co., helped students sum up the activity by highlighting the most important knowledge about the FMCG industry while passing out gifts from the company. |
