"Blockchain, Web3 & The Metaverse" Seminar with HUTECH Information Technology students

On May 6th, the Faculty of Information Technology - Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) collaborated with the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA) to organize a seminar on "Fundamentals of Blockchain".

In charge of speaking at the seminar were experts from Binance Academy including Ms. Lynn Hoang, Mr. Duc Tran, and Mr. Viet Hoang.

Attending the workshop were also Mr. Phi Anh Tuan - Vice Chairman of HCA; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Dinh Bay - Vice President, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology; Mr. Duong Thanh Phet - Vice Dean; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Anh - Head of Software Engineering.

"Blockchain technology is developing rapidly and has multiple useful applications" - Mr. Phi Anh Tuan shared
At the seminar, the students acquired advantageous information from the speakers - the pioneers in the field of Blockchain technology, Wed3, Metaverse, and NFT. Accordingly, students have a better understanding of “Metaverse”. This is a virtual technology that helps recreate multi-dimensional graphics, allowing people to interact in real life. The Metaverse is widely applied in the field of education and entertainment.

Moreover, the students also studied multiple useful information about Blockchain - a breakthrough trend in the 4.0 industry. Specifically, this is a chain of blocks containing information that closely monitors all user activities. Practical applications of Blockchain include asset management, cloud storage, grants, banking, electronic contracts, etc.

The program created opportunities for students to access modern technology and accumulate helpful knowledge. Thereby, HUTECH students will have an overview to seek opportunities in this potential field.
