HUTECH ranks 8th out of 23 universities in Vietnam on the URAP 2024 world ranking

According to the recent announcement of University Ranking by Academic Performance 2024 (URAP), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) ranks 8th out of 23 universities for the best academic achievements in Vietnam.

URAP ranking is one of the globally recognized, prestigious university rankings. Its primary goal is to develop a ranking system of universities worldwide based on academic performance indicators reflecting the quality and quantity of academic publications.

In particular, this system does not use data provided by universities themselves, nor based on the voting results of experts, thus making the ranking results more objective in terms of academic aspects.

HUTECH scores high in citation index and Citation impact total

Based on criteria of quantity and quality of scientific works, citation index, and scientific impact in the 2023-2024 ranking, HUTECH ranks 1803 in the world (334 places higher, compared to 2022-2023) and ranks 8th out of 23 universities in Vietnam.

According to the specific data, HUTECH achieved high scores of 43.36 and 39.08, respectively, in both citation index and Citation impact total. These results affirm that HUTECH’s research activities and quality of scientific research have been undergoing a myriad of positive changes.

During the three years since joining the URAP academic ranking, HUTECH has consistently shown remarkable progress compared to the previous year. This outcome highlights the university’s collective efforts in encouraging scientific research, earning them recognition in both the Vietnamese and international education system.

HUTECH has relentlessly been promoting scientific research

URAP has the reputation of using data on academic achievements from all universities, compiled by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI, currently Clarivate Analytics), to rank universities. This methodology has produced transparent ranking results, based on academic aspects.
