HUTECH welcomes students from University of Groningen for international academic exchange

On April 15, a group of 25 students majoring in Materials Science and Applied Physics from the University of Groningen (Netherlands) visited Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) for a campus tour and scientific exchange, paving the way for future opportunities in academic collaboration and global learning.
The visit began with a guided tour of HUTECH’s learning and research facilities, including the library, media studios, multi-purpose sports complex, and modern laboratories. These spaces showcased the university’s dynamic, hands-on educational environment and its strong potential for international partnership.

During the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations and Project Management, provided the group with an overview of HUTECH. Her presentation offered insights into the university’s history, development strategies, research achievements, and active international collaboration initiatives.

The students also had the opportunity to hear from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Viet, Head of the Department of Science and Technology, who highlighted notable research in the field of materials science. He introduced the AMA Research Group, a team of young and talented researchers committed to developing practical technology solutions. This session gave students a clearer understanding of HUTECH’s research focus and its capacity for international cooperation in advanced materials and technology.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, Director of the CIRTech Institute, delivered a presentation on the circular economy model, alongside real-world studies on 3D printing technology. He emphasized its applications in engineering, construction, and healthcare. His presentation not only demonstrated academic depth but also highlighted the real-life impact and high applicability of research in addressing modern societal challenges.

The visit and exchange at Intel Products Vietnam offered valuable real-world experiences for the student group
Earlier in the program, the group also visited Intel Products Vietnam, accompanied by Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong. During the visit, Mr. Tan Lin Sheng, Director of Strategy and Operations, shared insights into Intel’s corporate culture, production and business models, and signature spirit of innovation. The interactive session provided students with valuable real-world perspectives, as they engaged in discussions on enterprise operations and human resource development in the high-tech sector.
