On March 18, the Vietnam - Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT) at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a working session with the Economic Promotion Division of Nakashibetsu City, Hokkaido, Japan. The two sides discussed and reached key agreements aimed at creating optimal conditions for students to access study and work opportunities in Japan.
The two parties discuss support initiatives for students pursuing studies and careers in Japan
The meeting focused on developing support programs for HUTECH students in Japan, including financial aid policies, tuition assistance, and favorable learning conditions. Notably, students will have opportunities for internships and part-time jobs in the local area, allowing them to enhance their professional skills and improve their long-term career prospects after graduation. This collaboration aims to cultivate high-quality human resources to meet the recruitment needs of Japanese enterprises while opening up promising career opportunities for students.
Additionally, both parties committed to ongoing information exchange and the development of specific cooperation programs to provide students with comprehensive support throughout their study and work experiences in Japan. HUTECH believes that with the support of the Economic Promotion Division of Nakashibetsu City, Hokkaido, students will be further motivated to develop themselves, quickly integrate into the international work environment, and seize valuable career opportunities.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Yusuke Takahashi, Vice Director of the Business Department, and Mr. Naoki Yamashita, Head of the Economic Promotion Division of Nakashibetsu City. Representing HUTECH were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, Director of VJIT, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam, Vice Director of the HUTECH Japanese Language Center. This event marks an important step forward in HUTECH’s collaboration with Japanese partners, helping bring students closer to international career development opportunities.
