Founding Member of the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) in Ho Chi Minh City
A major highlight of HUTECH’s achievements in 2024 is its inclusion as one of the 10 founding members of the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) in Ho Chi Minh City. This group includes prestigious partners such as Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Hi-Tech Park, Viettel Group, Saigontel, Techcombank, and HDBank.

Two scientists have joined the State Council for Professors for the 2024-2029 term and the Council for Professors in Mechanics for 2024
HUTECH marked a significant milestone this year with two prominent scientists joining prestigious academic councils. Prof. Dr. Sc. Ho Dac Loc, President of HUTECH, was reappointed as one of the 28 members of the State Council for Professors for the 2024-2029 term. He also continues to chair the Electrical-Electronic-Automation Interdisciplinary Council for Professors.

Dr. Phung Van Phuc receives the Nguyen Van Dao Award and joins the Vietnam Global Leaders Forum
In 2024, Dr. Phung Van Phuc, a lecturer at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, was honored with the prestigious Nguyen Van Dao Award, which recognizes young researchers in the field of Mechanics for their outstanding scientific contributions at the international level.

Three research projects secured funding from NAFOSTED
HUTECH successfully secured funding for three research projects from the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED) for 2025. These projects span various disciplines, including Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology, Law, Economics, and Information & Computer Science.
The project leaders include Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Dinh Nguyen, Vice President and Director of the Vietnam-Korea Institute of Technology (VKIT); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quyet Thang, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism & Hospitality Management; and Dr. Pham The Anh Phu, Lecturer at the Faculty of Information Technology.

Students shine in prestigious research and academic competitions
HUTECH students, supported by the university’s robust academic programs and encouragement to participate in scholarly activities, continued to achieve remarkable success in 2024.
The university won seven awards at the Science and Technology Awards for Students in Higher Education Institutions (three Third Prizes and four Consolation Prizes) and two awards (one Third Prize and one Consolation Prize) at the 26th Eureka Student Scientific Research Awards. Numerous other accolades were earned at various scientific competitions both domestically and internationally.
