To discuss plans for implementing the Learning Express (LeX) project—an international collaboration focused on educational innovation—Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) hosted a working session with a delegation of faculty members from Singapore Polytechnic (SP) on December 12.
The meeting was held at Saigon Campus
During the session, HUTECH and SP discussed their collaboration on the LeX project. This initiative by SP aims to promote learning through the Design Thinking methodology, emphasizing solutions to real-world community challenges. The program allows students to immerse themselves in settings such as craft villages or charitable organizations, where they live, observe local life, and design models or projects to improve the quality of life for the community.

Regarding implementation, the two institutions plan to launch the project in March 2025. Ahead of this, faculty members from SP and HUTECH will conduct preliminary visits to survey and select appropriate locations. The program’s detailed content will include activities such as introducing students to Design Thinking, conducting field visits to gather information, developing and testing ideas, presenting models, and hosting cultural exchange sessions between students from both institutions. Additionally, the discussion emphasized key logistical concerns such as housing, meals, and healthcare to ensure the program’s safety and effectiveness.
