On December 12, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a working session with O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) from India to discuss strategic opportunities in research, student exchange, and improving international rankings.
Representatives from JGU shared their experiences and strategies for improving and maintaining their standing on the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) international rankings. They also discussed how these strategies could be applied at HUTECH. HUTECH expressed its interest in collaborating with JGU through joint projects and programs while introducing its ongoing Learning Express (LeX) project with Singapore Polytechnic, scheduled to launch in March 2025.
Discussions focus on research and international exchange programs
Both sides agreed to expand opportunities for collaboration in interdisciplinary research and faculty and student exchanges. JGU proposed a student exchange program with a group of at least 10 participants and outlined plans to bring 15 Vietnamese students to study at JGU in the near future. During the discussions, topics such as housing, dining, and student support were addressed to ensure the best possible experience for participants.
Both sides reach a consensus on expanding collaboration in research and exchange programs
JGU representative also introduced the Jindal Center for Digital Science and suggested using the Scribd platform for joint research projects between the two institutions. This initiative creates opportunities for HUTECH to access additional research resources and advanced technologies, enhancing the practical application of cutting-edge innovations and fostering interdisciplinary research projects.
The meeting promises multidisciplinary collaboration and access to modern research resources
The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to continue exchanging information to finalize implementation plans, paving the way for promising collaboration opportunities. This reflects HUTECH's commitment to its internationalization strategy and its efforts to strengthen its position on the global education map.
