On December 3rd, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and Tongmyong University (South Korea) held a meeting to discuss strategic cooperation initiatives, paving the way for exciting opportunities for student learning and development.
During the meeting, the two institutions explored the Franchise program, a collaborative education model led by HUTECH. This program is designed to deliver specialized knowledge while preparing students for future roles as tutors or instructors. To ensure its success, both universities committed to developing state-of-the-art facilities and outlining a comprehensive financial plan.

The student exchange program, set to launch in March 2025, is another significant aspect of the collaboration. Both universities are committed to facilitating transfer and exchange opportunities to promote cultural exchange and international learning. Discussions included legal, financial, and visa process issues, laying a strong foundation for future cooperation.

In the field of Aesthetics, HUTECH and Tongmyong University will collaborate to establish programs for the Korean Beauty Care. Tongmyong University will support HUTECH by sharing expertise and assisting in the development of laboratories and facilities. An on-site survey will be conducted soon to tailor the program effectively.
At the conclusion of the meeting, HUTECH and Tongmyong University reached a consensus on the significance of internationalizing education. Tongmyong University will provide detailed requirements for facility preparation at HUTECH while maintaining coordination through online meetings and future on-site visits.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Kieu Xuan Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Ms. Thai Minh Phuong, Vice Director of the Vietnam-Korea Institute of Technology; Dr. Nguyen Le Ha, Director of the Institute of Applied Sciences; and Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, Deputy Head of International Relations and Project Management. Representing Tongmyong University were Prof. Kweon Joong Rak, Dean of the Office of International Affairs, and Mr. Dennis Kim, Marketing Manager of the Office of International Affairs.
Tongmyong University, a private institution located in Busan, South Korea, was established in 1992. It has grown into a multidisciplinary center offering programs from undergraduate to postgraduate levels.
