On November 21, a working session between Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and the Northern Consortium of the UK (NCUK) - The University Consortium - explored opportunities for educational collaboration. The discussions aimed to open pathways for international learning and cultural exchange for students.

Representing HUTECH were Dr. Ly Thien Trang, Vice President, and Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations and Project Management. From NCUK, Mr. Adrian Ting, Regional Director for Asia, attended the session.

During the session, Mr. Adrian Ting provided an overview of NCUK, a prestigious international education organization headquartered in the UK. NCUK specializes in delivering pre-university and international transfer programs. He also introduced key programs such as the 2+2 model (two years in Vietnam and two years in the UK) and the 3+1 model (three years in Vietnam and one year in the UK), highlighting NCUK's quality assurance policies, scholarship opportunities, and development pathways for students.
Following this, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong presented HUTECH Education, particularly its international collaboration initiatives. She emphasized the university's commitment to expanding educational opportunities that allow students to experience advanced learning environments abroad, including international transfer programs similar to those offered by NCUK.

The discussions between HUTECH and NCUK focused on key issues such as visa procedures for students, the recognition of qualifications in Vietnam, challenges related to domestic policies, and procedures for working with third-party collaborators in implementing joint programs.
Looking ahead, Mr. Adrian Ting proposed expanding cooperation to include Royal School, part of the HUTECH education system, to implement NCUK programs for students from elementary to high school levels. This expansion would provide Vietnamese students early access to high-quality international education, equipping them with a solid foundation for progression to global universities.
