On November 11, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) warmly welcomed the delegation from the Hungarian Consulate General and John von Neumann University (Hungary), led by Consul General Lehőcz Gábor. The meeting paved the way for numerous opportunities for educational and research cooperation between Hungary and Vietnam, particularly with HUTECH.

Consul General Mr. Lehőcz Gábor, accompanied by Ms. Zsófia Mosonyi, Economic and Trade Attaché, and Mr. Peter Nguyen Dang, Assistant to the Consul General, expressed a strong interest in fostering educational collaboration and exploring opportunities for HUTECH members to study and conduct research in Hungary. Mr. Gábor emphasized that Hungarian government-sponsored PhD scholarships provide a valuable opportunity for HUTECH’s academic staff, lecturers, and students to access Hungary's advanced education and research systems. These scholarships not only support professional development but also act as a cultural bridge, enriching the international perspectives of HUTECH’s faculty and students.

During the meeting, representatives from John von Neumann University, including Dr. László Tóth - Head of Research Group and Senior Associate Professor of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, and Ms. Tunde Zoboki - International Program Coordinator, introduced their institution and key international programs. Renowned for its strengths in education and research, particularly in IT, computer science, engineering, and the application of technology in production and management, John von Neumann University actively pursues international partnerships to foster research, application development, and innovation. They expressed a strong interest in collaborating with HUTECH to expand faculty and student exchange programs and establish bilateral research projects.

On behalf of HUTECH, Dr. Ly Thien Trang - Vice President, shared HUTECH’s international cooperation strategy in training, research, and faculty-student exchange. She emphasized HUTECH’s initiatives in sustainable development and its recent international projects aimed at enhancing the skills, awareness, and capabilities of its lecturers and students. Dr. Ly Thien Trang also expressed her hope to partner with John von Neumann University and other Hungarian universities to implement international projects, focusing on educational innovation and research initiatives.
