At the 10th International Student Startup Conference, hosted by Tongmyong University in Busan, South Korea, from October 29 to 31, HUTECH’s delegation engaged in meaningful international collaboration activities, achieving impressive results for the university.
HUTECH and UEF delegations join conference in Busan (South Korea)
The annual conference at Tongmyong University attracts representatives from around the world. This year, it brought together over 150 students from top universities in Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, the USA, Vietnam, and more, providing Vietnamese students—including those from HUTECH—with an invaluable opportunity to connect, learn, and share entrepreneurial insights with global peers.

HUTECH was represented by Dr. Ly Thien Trang, Vice President; Ms. Thai Minh Phuong, Vice Director of the Vietnam-Korea Institute of Technology (VKIT); Ms. Nguyen Phuong Thao, Vice Director of the Institute of International Education; faculty members from various departments; and 10 outstanding students from the Institute of International Education and VKIT.

Throughout the conference, HUTECH faculty and students took part in a wide range of research activities. Key presentations and discussions on startup strategies and innovative business models inspired new ideas and perspectives for all participants. A highlight was the presentation by HUTECH lecturers of a paper titled "Tongmyong University Franchise at HUTECH: Building Vietnam’s Next Generation of Global Leaders," co-authored by Ms. Le Thi Thuy Trang from HUTECH’s Department of Science and Technology and Mr. Do Minh Tam, Deputy Head of UEF’s Quality Assurance Department.

Students had the chance to work in teams, design projects under mentor guidance, and explore topics related to globalization, broadening their knowledge and enhancing their research skills.

The conference facilitated exchange and learning for HUTECH leaders, faculty, and students with experts and international peers, expanding their perspectives on global issues. Thanks to their dedicated academic and personal efforts, HUTECH students earned well-deserved recognition at the 10th International Student Startup Conference.
