On the morning of October 21st, HUTECH's Department of Science and Technology, along with the Department of International Relations and Project Management, met with representatives from the Embassy of France to discuss potential collaboration for HUTECH’s 2025 GSETS International Science Conference and the Embassy's Year of Innovation project. The meeting holds great promise for bringing exciting academic and experiential opportunities to HUTECH students.

At the start of the meeting, Dr. Ly Thien Trang, Vice President of HUTECH, gave an overview of the university's educational system, emphasizing its international collaboration efforts, including student exchange programs, academic study tours, and ongoing partnerships. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Viet, Head of the Department of Science and Technology, then introduced the 2025 GSETS Conference, highlighting its key themes, the expected volume of academic submissions, and the goal of strengthening connections within the scientific community.

Mr. Andrea Taglioni, Officer for Scientific and Academic Cooperation at the Embassy of France, expanded on the Embassy’s collaborative network with various research institutions and experts in nanotechnology and nanomaterials. He emphasized the Embassy’s commitment to aligning these initiatives with the focus of the 2025 GSETS Conference, expressing their intent to provide significant support to HUTECH in ensuring the success of the event.

In preparation for the GSETS 2025 Conference, both parties deliberated on the organization of forums within the conference framework to foster connections among researchers, scholars, and experts. They also explored the feasibility of hosting potential events, such as Hackathons, tailored for students in the Information Technology discipline. Additionally, discussions extended to the prospect of expanding future collaborations, which would include PhD programs for faculty and staff, as well as initiatives for international joint educational programs.
