On October 3, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) met with the University of Auckland (New Zealand) to discuss and finalize their collaboration on a Bachelor's program in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
During the meeting, representatives from both institutions introduced their training programs. Mr. Vo Quoc Dai, Vice Dean of the Faculty of English Language at HUTECH, provided an overview of the faculty and its student support services. The University of Auckland presented its TESOL program and expressed interest in collaborating with HUTECH, starting with the Bachelor's program and potentially expanding to a Master's program in TESOL in the future.

Prof. Marek Tesar highlighted that HUTECH students from their first to third year are eligible to participate in the program, which includes scholarships for outstanding students, as well as support for housing and extracurricular activities for all students.

This meeting marks a significant step forward in the partnership between HUTECH and the University of Auckland, offering students access to modern knowledge and teaching methods while preparing them for future career opportunities. Additionally, Dr. Ly Thien Trang, Vice President of HUTECH, expressed hope that during the upcoming 30th anniversary celebration of HUTECH, the University will launch the partnership program with the University of Auckland, paving the way for a long-term collaboration.
