On October 6, Prof. Dr. Sc. Ho Dac Loc, President of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), participated in a discussion and signed a commemorative plaque alongside city leaders and the Founder and Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
The event was held at the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) in Saigon High-Tech Park
The meeting underscored the university’s role in advancing the technological potential of the C4IR in Ho Chi Minh City.

During the discussion, Prof. Dr. Sc. Ho Dac Loc highlighted C4IR’s role as a “connector and influencer.” He emphasized that collaboration with educational institutions, research organizations, and businesses is essential for driving a digital, green, and sustainable economy in Ho Chi Minh City.

He shared his enthusiasm for the center’s mission, stating, “HUTECH is dedicated to actively contributing to the center’s initiatives, in line with the guidance of the government and the leadership of Ho Chi Minh City.” He also expressed pride in HUTECH’s role as one of the founding members of C4IR.

He expressed hope that C4IR would become a key player in the global technology network, producing meaningful outcomes through the partnership between the WEF and the Government of Vietnam.

C4IR, located in Saigon High-Tech Park, next to HUTECH’s High-Quality Manpower Training Center, is part of the WEF’s global network. Inaugurated on September 25, the center is designed to foster collaboration on research, propose policy initiatives, mobilize resources, and facilitate technology transfers in industrial transformation, helping unlock Ho Chi Minh City’s growth potential.
