HUTECH ranks 10th out of 18 universities in Vietnam on the URAP World Rankings 2023

According to the announcement of the World University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) 2023, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. HCM City (HUTECH) ranks 10th out of 18 universities with the best academic achievements in Vietnam.
The URAP ranking is one of the most prestigious rankings in the world. Based on the criteria of quantity, quality of scientific works, citation index and scientific impact, in the ranking in 2022 - 2023, HUTECH ranked 2137 in the world (up from 406 places compared to 2021 - 2022) and ranked 10th out of 18 universities in Vietnam ranked.
HUTECH constantly promotes and affirms its position in scientific research activities
According to published data, the citation index (Citation) and Citation Impact Total index (Citation Impact Total), HUTECH both accounted for very high scores of 40.52 and 37.1 points, respectively, thereby showing that the activities and quality of scientific research at HUTECH have been making many remarkable positive progress in recent years.
Participating for the second time in the prestigious academic rankings and making great progress compared to the previous year, HUTECH's scientific research investment efforts have been recognized and gradually affirmed its position in research activities of the world in general and Vietnam in particular. Accordingly, this will be a strong motivation to promote scientific research activities of lecturers and inspire HUTECH students in the future.
URAP uses data on the academic achievements of all universities produced by Web of Science, an online citation indexing service created by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI, now Clarivate Analytics) to conduct rankings and does not use data provided by universities themselves, as well as the voting results of experts. Accordingly, the URAP rankings are highly appreciated for their objectivity and academic credibility thanks to data taken directly on the Web of Science.
