On the morning of November 23, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) signed a cooperation agreement with Chibooks, bringing over 600 books and various internships and job opportunities for students.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Hach Chi Cuong-Deputy Consulate General of China in Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Tran Vi Vi-Consul General, Ms. Nguyen Le Chi-Founder cum CEO of Chibooks, and Ms. Phan Thi My Linh-Chairwoman of the BOD.

Attending the ceremony on behalf of HUTECH were Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang Viet-Vice President, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Hong Van-Director of the Institute of International Education, Dr. Le Van Tuyen-Vice Dean of the Faculty of English Language, Dr. Phan Minh Phung-Vice Dean of the Faculty of Laws, Ms. Dinh Hai Yen-Director of the Center for International Affairs, Mr. Ho Duc Sinh-Director of the Center for Corporate Relations, and Mr. Hoang Ngoc Tuan-Director of the Library.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang Viet thanked the Consulate General of China and Chibooks for visiting, cooperating and giving HUTECH’s library 600 books. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang Viet also expects more cooperation with the Consulate of China and Chibooks in the future.

Ms. Nguyen Le Chi expressed her pleasure to cooperate with HUTECH. “With the goal of bringing books closer to young people in general and HUTECH students in particular, Chibooks hopes that this book donation will help students read more books and encourage them to use the university’s library. Chibooks will introduce authors to meet and share with students reading culture in various fields, fostering the spiritual life of students,” shared Ms. Nguyen Le Chi. Along with that, she also expressed her hope that the cooperation with HUTECH will expand further in the future with more academic cooperation.

Representatives of HUTECH and Chibooks performed the signing ceremony based on similarities in orientations. Accordingly, the two sides will work together to implement such contents as organizing exchange programs between Chibooks authors and writers with students, interviewing and recruiting students of HUTECH, jointly developing plans to participate in volunteer activities, community activities as well as organizing contests for students, etc.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Hach Chi Cuong shared about the friendship between Vietnam and China and the issue of cultural exchange between countries. He set his expectation: “Hopefully, these books can enrich HUTECH library, expand the channels of understanding about China for lecturers and students so that Vietnamese students can have a better understanding of Chinese culture, further promote Chinese-Vietnamese cultural exchanges, enhance mutual understanding and the relations between China-Vietnam."

The signing ceremony with Chibooks enriched the source of books at the library, opening up many learning and career prospects for HUTECH students as well as strengthening the relations between the two sides.
