On the evening of December 19, 2014, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) organized the Culture Festival as part of the New Year’s celebration and launched the 2015 Charming and Talented HUTECH Student Contest. The festival drew the participation of over 5,000 students.
The event attracted the participation of many students and faculty, lecturers, and staff of the university. Besides, the program also gathered many interesting guests such as celebrity chef Yan Can Cook along with several well-known singers, including Duc Tuan, Nam Cuong, Minh Thu, Trang Thao, Luu Quang Anh and Ka Nhu Ngoc.

The festival night has become a colorful fashion show, with the appearance and performance of Ao Dai costumes, evening gowns of charming and talented HUTECH beauties. These include Ngo Huynh Bao Ngoc - Miss HUTECH 2010, Winner of 2010 Cherry Blossom Beauty; Pham Phuong Thao - Miss HUTECH 2012, Miss Photo 2014; Nguyen Hoang Thuc Vy - First runner-up of Miss HUTECH 2012, Miss Star 2014 finalist; Le Thi Sang - Second runner-up Miss HUTECH 2012, Miss Ocean Vietnam 2014 finalist; Nguyen Thi Kim Anh - Top 10 "So you think you can dance" Contest 2014; Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy - People’s Choice Award of Miss Star 2014; Huynh Thi Cam Tien - Top 20 Miss HUTECH 2012.
