The sound of the opening drum at the 2020-2021 convocation taking place on September 26 signaled the official start of the new school year at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.
Special musical performances at the opening ceremony of the new school year
The opening convocation was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Quy - Former Deputy Minister of Education and Training, the representative of Vietnam Association of Universities and Colleges, and other educational institutions.

The event also featured Mr. Do Quoc Anh - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF), Dr. Phan Thi Kim Anh - Vice President of Royal International Bilingual School.
On the side of HUTECH, there was the presence of Dr. Kieu Tuan - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University’s Board of Directors; Prof. Dr. Sc. Ho Dac Loc - President of HUTECH along with other members of the Board of Presidents; faculty and staff members together with many HUTECH students.
