HUTECH welcomes British Chamber of Commerce Vietnam for collaboration

On October 10, the Institute of International Education at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) hosted a meeting with the British Chamber of Commerce Vietnam (BritCham) to explore ways to expand its international partnerships, improve training quality, and increase job opportunities for students.

The meeting highlighted a shared vision for collaboration between HUTECH and BritCham across various fields. Representing HUTECH, Dr. Nguyen Hong Nhung, Vice Director of the Institute of International Education, and Mr. Nguyen Gia Huy, Vice Director of the Center for Corporate Relations, expressed strong interest in forging partnerships with British organizations, including BritCham and UK universities.

HUTECH aims to work closely with BritCham to connect with its member companies, particularly to increase internship opportunities for students in technology and engineering. Both sides also discussed plans to co-host specialized seminars with prominent scholars, offering students both technical expertise and cultural insights into the UK.

BritCham’s Executive Director, Mr. Matt Ryland, commended HUTECH’s active engagement and shared BritCham’s goal of expanding its membership. He also proposed conducting research on the Vietnamese labor market, with a focus on recent graduates, to help member companies better understand the workforce. This collaboration would help both institutions develop a pipeline of highly skilled talent for both local and international markets.
