“Food Education Workshop” – Explore healthy and scientific way of eating with HUTECH – UCP students

In the morning of May 4th 2018, students of the Cooperative Bachelor training program in Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts between University of Cergy – Pontoise (UCP) and Ho Chi Minh City of Technology (HUTECH) have organized the event  “Food Education Workshop” at HUTECH main campus.

The workshop is organized by HUTECH - UCP cooperative program students

The colorful talkshow received the participation of international experts including: Prof. Dr. Eric Olmedo – Lecturer at UCP; Chef Tan Kean Buan – Lecturer at INTI International University & Colleges; Ms. Angeline Arumugam – Healthy Living with Ayurveda, Malaysia; as well as representatives from sponsors in the service industry such as: Tau Hu Pho restaurent, O’reka Cafe, 1883 Syrups Vietnam, Pizza Domino, Warehouse Cafe.

The workshop also received the participation of distinguished representative from HUTECH: Dr. Pham Thi Hai Quynh, MSc. Nguyen Lan Huong and MA. Dinh Hai Yen - Vice Directors of HUTECH Institute of International Education, MA. Tang Thong Nhan - Deputy Dean of HUTECH Tourism and Hospitality Faculty, along with lecturers from various faculties of HUTECH.

This is a good opportunity for HUTECH students to gather experiences for their future careers

With English as the main language, the experts have shared interesting knowledge and researches about the topic of “Food Education” – the way of healthy eating, applying mediciens into cooking, and actively educate younger generations about a healthy diet.
The workshopwas also a good opportunitiy for the students to apply and promote the knowledge they acquired into practice, while also gathering new knowledges and experiences in their future careers.
