[Video] HUTECH students dive into Korean culture with exciting activities

On September 17th, students from the Faculty of Korean Studies and the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Laboratory at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) had an exciting experience participating in traditional Korean games, crafting signature Korean dishes, and receiving general health checkups during the “Korean Traditional Culture Experience” event.

The event was organized by a volunteer group from the Nammun Volunteer Center (Daejeon), featuring a variety of activities such as games, cuisine, art, and health checkups, which attracted participation from many students. At the event, students were divided into seven teams to explore different fascinating and appealing cultural spaces.

With a series of lively exchange activities, the event attracts many students

Participants had the opportunity to make signature dishes like triangular kimbap and mooncakes, and also take part in classic Korean games such as hammer game, Yutnori, and jump rope. Additionally, they experienced the lively atmosphere brought by Korean children's folk songs.

Students engage in many Korean cultural activities

Alongside the fun activities, students received general health checkups using traditional Korean medicine methods and participated in HUTECH's medical skills training center. They were provided acupuncture treatments to relieve symptoms such as neck and shoulder pain, as well as stomach aches, by experts from the Nammun volunteer group.

Aside from the fun activities, students also receive medical skills training from experts

Present at the event, Dr. Bui Phan Anh Thu, Dean of the Faculty of Korean Studies, expressed gratitude to the teachers and the Nammun volunteer group for their time and effort in preparing the materials for the event. She hoped this would be a meaningful learning experience and leave beautiful memories for the students.
