The “Global Service Learning 2025” program created a platform for students from the Vietnam-Korea Institute of Technology (VKIT) at HUTECH to engage in enriching international exchanges with peers from Tongmyong University and Gwangju Women’s University (South Korea).
Now in its second iteration, the program officially launched on January 2. During the opening ceremony, HUTECH and Gwangju Women’s University signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), opening the door to collaborative initiatives aimed at enhancing education quality and enriching student experiences.

On January 3 and 4, students from all three universities participated in volunteer and cultural exchange activities. These events offered opportunities to contribute to the community while sharing the unique cultural values of both countries.
At Que Huong Humanitarian Center (Binh Duong Province) and Thien Duyen Shelter (Ho Chi Minh City), students cooked meals for children, organized fun games, cleaned the facilities, and donated essential supplies. The two Korean universities also provided $1,500 to purchase items for the shelters.

Additionally, students engaged in dynamic cultural and language exchanges at HUTECH. Highlights included storytelling sessions and learning Korean songs, which provided a fun and interactive way to develop language skills. Students also explored Korean-style facial massages—a unique relaxation method that promoted well-being while offering insight into Korea’s beauty traditions.
The “Global Service Learning 2025” program proved to be a valuable opportunity for HUTECH and Korean students to connect, learn, and grow together, enhancing their skills for global integration. These experiences inspire self-improvement and contribute to shaping future global citizens.
