To expand learning and employment opportunities in an international environment, the Faculty of Japanese Studies at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) recently held an exchange session with Ibaraki Christian University (IC) to discuss internship programs and job prospects in Japan.
HUTECH representatives meet with Ibaraki Christian University IC President Hiroshi Shoji introduced the university’s academic environment and scholarship opportunities for international students. Ms. Takaba Nao from the Admissions Office provided an overview of IC’s prime location near the train station and Tokyo, and detailed the university’s main academic departments. She highlighted two key programs: Contemporary English and Business Administration. Ms. Takaba also provided information on the 2026 admissions exam, application requirements, procedures, and deadlines.

Currently, IC offers financial support programs and special scholarships for HUTECH students. To help reduce the financial burden on international students, IC waives entrance exam fees, reduces admission fees by up to 50%, and provides additional scholarship opportunities.
This event provided students with valuable insights, helping them start planning their future study abroad opportunities All student concerns regarding housing, dormitories, utilities, and monthly living expenses were clearly addressed by IC representatives. Additionally, the IC Buddy Program, a support center for international students, will serve as a bridge between faculty and students, offering assistance with any challenges they may face during their time studying abroad.
