To provide International Relations students with practical professional experience, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Public Relations at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) recently organized an internship in Cambodia.

At the start of the internship, the students visited and engaged in practical study at the National Assembly Building of the Kingdom of Cambodia. During this trip, students are equipped with knowledge of protocol, law, foreign affairs, and diplomacy, while also gaining a deeper understanding of the history and functioning of the National Assembly.

Notably, the delegation had the opportunity to visit the National Assembly Meeting Room, where significant sessions with national impact have taken place. This meeting room is only opened twice a year for National Assembly sessions, making the delegation's experience particularly special and rare.

In addition to visiting the National Assembly Meeting Room, the delegation had the privilege of touring the Cambodian National Assembly Building, which is under construction with a $25 million USD investment funded by Vietnam. This symbolizes the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, providing students with a deeper understanding of Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic relations.

Following that, the delegation received a warm welcome from the leaders and staff at the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia. The students had the opportunity to gain insights and learn from industry experts about maintaining international relations.

During the discussion, students exchanged diplomatic strategies and explored ways to build and maintain international relations within the context of modern politics. They also learned the importance of understanding the culture and customs of partner countries, along with developing communication and conflict resolution skills in a multicultural environment.

At their final destination, the students visited the Institute of International Studies and Public Policy (IISPP) at the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP). Here, the delegation engaged in an intercultural student exchange, allowing Vietnamese and Cambodian students to meet and share perspectives through various activities.

The exchange featured group discussions on international issues and comparisons between Vietnam and Cambodia, providing students with a deeper understanding of the political and social contexts of both countries. Icebreaker activities, along with traditional dance and singing performances from both countries, not only created a joyful atmosphere but also helped young people experience culture in an engaging and lively manner.
