Psychology students premiere and professional study

On August 29th, in the module "Practical Psychology" of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Public Relations - Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a premiere with the theme "Real People - Real Things", and the seminar "Practical Experience in Psychology Profession".

The program was an opportunity for students to acquire practical knowledge from experienced psychologists

Speaking at the seminar were:
- Dr. Sunny Dang Phuong - Psychologist, General Director of Sunnycare Institute of Psychology and Mettasoul Academy;
- Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Dung - Director of IPRTA Institute for Research, Training and Applied Psychology;
- Ms. Phan Thi Hoai Yen - Lecturer of HCMC University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Professional Advisor of the Faculty of Mind Body - Thu Duc City Hospital.

HUTECH representatives at the program were Ms. Pham Thi Bich Phuong, Head of Psychology, and other faculty lecturers.

At the premiere, 04 video projects with the theme "Real People - Real Things" were publicly revealed by students. This is the result of their long-term research, discovering various topics by interviewing experts on psychological counseling, practicing in environments for children with autism at school therapy centers, learning about the qualities and skills needed of a psychologist, etc.

According to the professionals, the projects are well-oriented and highly constructive as they demonstrate an early understanding of the profession as well as proactive problem-solving in real-life situations. Additionally, limitations such as not delving into the issues and gaps in skills were also pointed out. These critiques serve as motivation for students to further their knowledge, improve their skills, and continue their personal development.

At the seminar "Practical Experience in Psychology Profession", 03 speakers including Dr. Sunny Dang Phuong, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Dung, and Ms. Phan Thi Hoai Yen shared about their career journey. Particularly, the speakers have expressed their perspectives on psychology from past to present, including the skills, qualities, and attitudes required of a professional. These shares help students better understand the industry, and the skills needed to have a solid preparation for their future journey.

The seminar "Practical Experience in Psychology Profession" provided various knowledge about the career path in the Psychology area

The program is an opportunity for students to present their academic achievements, and to obtain practical career insights, thereby being more inspired and oriented for the future path. It is believed that with the knowledge and skills accumulated in the program, HUTECH Psychology students will become more secured and motivated to continuously improve themselves.
