CIRTECH Institute receives research funding from VINIF
The research project “Deep Learning for Advanced 3D Printing Technology” conducted by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Director of CIRTECH Institute, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) has just been announced as one of 20 research projects selected to receive funding from the Vingroup Innovation Fund (VINIF).
The research on deep learning for advanced 3D printing technology is a joint project led by HUTECH in collaboration with RMIT University (Australia) and Vietnam-German University (Vietnam).
“Deep Learning for Advanced 3D Printing Technology” is one of 20 projects selected to receive funding from VINIF
The project aims to develop an electronic design platform for 3D printing, improve performance and optimize the structural design for printed materials.
There have been breakthroughs in the development of 3D printing technology in key manufacturing fields. The funding from VINIF will be an important incentive for members of the research team to carry out the project objectives under the most favorable and supportive conditions.
This round of funding for 20 projects in the field of science and technology has a total value of 124 billion VND. The projects selected for funding are based on their merits and innovation that have the potential to contribute to advancing applied research, bridging the gap between universities and businesses, and delivering positive values to the sustainable development of Vietnam.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Director of CIRTECH Institute - is the only Vietnamese researcher to be named in the Top 1% of the world’s most influential scientists for 5 consecutive years (from 2014 to 2018, published by Clarivate Analysis).
