On November 15, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) was honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal from the President of Vietnam at the 25th Anniversary of the University's establishment (1995-2020) and the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day 20/11.
Attending this important event were representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, agencies, departments, branches, Unions, leaders of local authorities at all levels and business partners of the HUTECH over the years.

From HUTECH, the ceremony had the presence of Dr. Kieu Tuan - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University’s Board of Directors along with other members of the Party Committee and the University’s Board of Directors; Meritorious Teacher Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Minh Thi - Chairman of the Founding Council and other Founding Members; Dr. Kieu Xuan Hung - General Director of HUTECH Education Development and Investment Joint Stock Company, Permanent Vice Chairman of the University’s Board of Directors; Prof. Dr. Sc. Ho Dac Loc - HUTECH President along with members of the University’s Board of Presidents as well as all administrators, lecturers, staff, current and former students of HUTECH.

On behalf of the Ministry of Education and Training, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc praised HUTECH's achievements in recent years, contributing to the development of higher education in particular and Vietnam's education in general.
Dr. Kieu Tuan shared: “The pioneer in successfully implementing the non-public education model, HUTECH was honored to receive the Third and Second Class Labor Medals, which are memorable milestones, and today, in this solemn occasion, HUTECH is honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal - a great pride. HUTECH's journey will be characterized as an unceasing and ever-developing one."

Along with the First Class Labor Medal, HUTECH was also honored to receive the 25-year Traditional Flag of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City in recognition of the achievement by the University’s collective and the Emulation Flag of the Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labor for the University’s Labor Union. On this occasion, HUTECH also had four individuals awarded with the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister, 24 individuals received the Ministry of Education and Training’s Service to Education Award, and three university departments received the Emulation Flag from the Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
HUTECH honored individuals who accompanied and devoted themselves during the construction and development journey of the University
At the ceremony, HUTECH honored 12 individuals who accompanied and devoted themselves during the construction and development journey of the University; three scientists were recognized in the ranking of the world’s most influential scientists in 2020 according to the research published by PLoS Biology Journal (USA), including Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan and Dr. Phung Van Phuc; six offices/departments and 19 individuals were recognized for their outstanding performance in the 2019-2020 academic year; three faculties successfully obtained the training program accreditations; five outstanding individuals as winners of the HUTECH's Individual Excellence Award - HUTECH's Face".
Besides, HUTECH Scholarship Fund also presented 650 scholarships to students including Talented Student Scholarship, Students Overcoming Adversity Scholarship, and Students Affected by Flooding Scholarship with a total value of VND 4,165,000,000.
