The successful Closing Ceremony of the 27th National Olympic Contest on Mechanics in 2015

On May 24th, 2015, HUTECH in collaboration with Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Mechanics Association and Vietnam student Association organized the grand closing ceremony of the 27th National Olympics on Mechanics (Southern area) at 475A Dien Bien Phu street, Ward 25, Binh Thanh district, Ho Chi Minh city in 2015.
Prof. Dr. Sc. Vu Duy Quang - People's Teacher, member of Vietnam Association of Mechanics , Head of the Organizing Board of the National Olympic Contest on Mechanics made a speech.
Attendants of the ceremony included Prof. Dr. Sc. Do Sanh – People's Teacher, Standing Vice President of Vietnam Association of Mechanics, Assoc. Pro. Dr. Thai Ba Can- Vice President of Vietnam Association of Mechanics and president of Ho Chi Minh City Association of Mechanics, Prof. Dr. Sc. Vu Duy Quang - People's Teacher, member of Vietnam Association of Mechanics , Head of the Organizing Board of the National Olympic Contest on Mechanics, Dr. Kieu Tuan-chairman of HUTECH, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang Viet – Vice- Rector of HUTECH and contestants from Southern area.
8 prizes for team and 546 prizes for individuals to be awarded to outstanding contestants and universities
The contest attracted the participation of 422 contestants from 17 southern universities. Students competed in 11 contents: Soil Mechanics, Hydraulics, Structural Mechanics, Theoretical Mechanics, Machine Elements, Principles of machines, Strength of Materials, Computing Applications in Mechanics (Principles of Machines), Computing Applications in Mechanics (Machines Elements). The Organizing Board awarded the total of 08 prizes for teams including 01 first prize, 02 second prizes, 05 third prizes and 546 prizes for individuals including 01 first prize, 17 second prizes and 166 encouraging prizes worth totaling 28.600.000 dong.
University of Technology- Ho Chi Minh City National University was awarded 08 team prizes and 60 individual prizes.
HUTECH received 21 prizes for individuals in the contest this year.
The best university in this contest are: University of Technology – Ho Chi Minh city National University with 8 prizes for teams and 60 individual prizes, the host - HUTECH with 21 individual prizes, Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport with19 individual prizes , HCMC University of Architecture with 12 individual prizes , etc.
Prof. Dr. Sc. Vu Duy Quang - People's Teacher, member of Vietnam Association of Mechanics, Head of the Organizing Board of the National Olympic Contest on Mechanics gave flag to Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport, the next host of the 28th National Olympics on Mechanics.
Prof. Dr. Sc. Do Sanh – People's Teacher, Standing Vice President of Vietnam Association of Mechanics awarded certificates of merit to Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang Viet – Vice-Rector of HUTECH, Head of the Organizing Board of the 27th Olympic Contest on Mechanics.
The National Mechanics Olympic Contest held by Vietnam Mechanics Association with the purpose of giving big chances to students and lecturers to exchange knowledge as well as share experiences to improve the learning qualities and outcomes. The success of this contest once again confirmed that the national Olympic Mechanics has actually become the specialized playground of advanced applications, attracting a large number of students to join the competition.
